Prohibition of foul language
A person shall not, whether in a general or organized campaign, use any language−
which constitutes incitement to public order, insurrection or violence;
which is defamatory or insulting or which contains incitement to hatred; or
which seeks to excite or promote disharmony, enmity or hatred against any person.
A person who contravenes subsection (1) of Elections Act commits an offense and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five thousand Emalangeni or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year or to both.
