• If after the polling day has been fixed for an election in any Inkhundla, any duly nominated candidate dies before the poll is taken, the Commission shall upon being satisfied of the fact of the death, withdraw the notice fixing the polling day, and all proceedings relating to that election in that Inkhundla shall be commenced afresh in precisely the same manner as if a vacancy had occurred.
  • A fresh nomination under subsection (1) shall not be undertaken in the case of a candidate who was duly nominated in accordance with this Act.
